Ideale needs one for many reasons, most of them RP. NEEDS. I honestly don't care about the achievement, but the tabard is necessary.

I got mine last night. I suggest you grab a gorilla and go ape with AOE attacks, since the event areas are HEAVILY farmed by both aliance and horde. You will be lucky to grab any single targets unless you are very quick to target and attack.
Some of the epic gear drops and vendor rewards ae very nice too, esoecially if you are mostly kitted out in greens like I was!
Pick up an argent dawn trinket if you can, from the guys at the bulwark, since it adds to the rep gain given.
I discovered that Winterspring is dead empty at 3 a.m., so I farmed there for quite a while with Cinnamon. The tabard is mine!
I already had the AD trinket — I like to hang out rep grinding in the Plaguelands when I'm bored with Outland and PVP.
